To mark this occasion, we are proud to introduce a limited-edition anniversary cloth that honours our heritage while showcasing the skill and innovation that continue to drive us forward. Woven in our Yorkshire mill, this special release exemplifies the craftsmanship that has earned William Halstead its global reputation.
A Luxurious Fibre Blend
The cloth features a distinctive composition: 53% Summer Kid Mohair and 47% Cashmere. Mohair has long been central to our identity – known for its natural lustre, strength, and springy resilience. By pairing it with cashmere, renowned as one of the most luxurious natural fibres in the world, we’ve created a fabric that strikes a rare balance between performance and softness. These two noble fibres, seldom blended, each contribute their own qualities to the final result – the crisp structure of mohair softened by the gentle handle of cashmere.
Refined and Durable
The construction further enhances the cloth’s character. Woven in a hopsack structure, the fabric combines the refined texture of a Panama with the durability and body of a Twill. This weave offers flexibility and depth, giving the cloth an elegant yet resilient quality suitable for both formal and relaxed garments. Whether tailored into a full suit or a softly structured blazer, the fabric adapts effortlessly across sartorial settings.
